Russia is the first nation in the world to officially create Bitcoin reserves

Moscow, capital of the Russian Federation

April 1, 2019, Moscow— Vladimir Putin takes things seriously. Russia exchanges 10% of its strategic dollar reserve for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Skycoin, IOTA and other crypto currencies. Putin says: “Thanks to Bitcoin reserves, Russia will be the richest country in the world in 10 years”. This makes Russia the first G20 country to add crypto currencies to its strategic reserves. Will a worldwide FOMO (fear of missing out) of the state leaders follow now?

Billions of dollars in Cryptocurrencies

Rumors and allegations have been circulating for some time, including from the head of the Legislative Risk Assessment Group in Russia, that Russia will invest in Bitcoin. CIA and BND sources now confirm this and have evidence that Russia has already exchanged several billion dollars for crypto currency. Russia is ready to combine its traditional financial system with crypto currencies.

Emails conversation between Vladimir Putin and the Russian finance minister Anton Germanowitsch Siluanow were leaked in which the two exchanged about the potentials of this move, Putin wrote among other things: “Thanks to Bitcoin reserves, Russia will be the richest country in the world in 10 years”, to which Siluanov replied: “Soon the Americans and the Europeans will get FOMO and will drive the prices up and make us infinitely rich”.

According to the CIA agents, the Kremlin’s buyout could be intensified in the coming weeks as Russia wants to free itself from its dependence on the US dollar.

Back to world power through crypto currencies

The Russian economist Vladislav Ginko assumes that the Bitcoin exchange rate would rise to two million dollars in 2019, after reaching its low in the range of 1,500 to 2,000 dollars. Should this indeed be the case, the newly discovered preference for Bitcoin would reinforce the seemingly contradictory attitude of Russian officials to crypto currency in recent years.

The Crypto Ruble comes 2022

Last week Anatoly Aksakov, chairman of the Financial Market Committee in the Russian Diet of the Duma, revealed that there are plans to issue a blockchain-based version of the Russian Ruble until 2022.

Putin will publish more details about the Russian Crypto Ruble in August at the Blockchance Conference Hamburg 2019, where he will give a keynote.
