Very excited to be sharing this short and sweet edition of our project updates for the month of March, where we’ve got one of our most significant product rollout to unpack, along with some details of what we’ve been working on with the IOST team over the past month. We’ve also updated our roadmap, streamlining it for greater focus and bringing forward key goals as a result. Let’s dive right in!
First stablecoin solution on the IOST blockchain
It’s here. Our iStablecoin swap service to bring stablecoins onto the IOST is finally live on the IOST and mainnets!
Savvy users can turn their ERC20 stablecoins — initially TUSD and USDC (with more to come in future) — into iTUSD and iUSDC stablecoins for usage on the IOST .
For more details around using the iStablecoin swap service, check out our guide over at:
This is significant both to Rate3 as well as the IOST team, as we both expect there to be high levels of stablecoin usage within the IOST Dapp ecosystem moving forward. High volume of swap activity between and IOST will benefit RTE, since holding it will provide users with discounted swap fees.
Expect to see an uptick in marketing efforts over the coming quarter, where contests and promotions designed to encourage user and word of mouth will be organized and jointly rolled out.
IOST Partner Node Performance (& Future Plans)
At the point of writing, there are currently almost 200 node partners hailing from diverse geographical backgrounds that are collectively upholding the integrity of the IOST . Rate3 — as a company with a vested interest in the success of the IOST via our iStablecoin swap service — is honoured to be an elected Node Partner in contributing to the security of the IOST ecosystem.
For those interested to geek out more about our node details, refer to the follow :
We are actively exploring means to reward both the IOST and Rate3 communities with the resources that are generated, and what Metanyx is doing — its approach of distributing a greater-than-required share of IOST rewards to its METX holders — is something which we’re keeping a very close eye upon in an effort to determine the effectiveness and sustainability of such an initiative.
Stay tuned for updates around it 🙂
1Q 2019 Roadmap Update
In the midst of working on our IOST iniatives over the past two months, we made a decision to revise our roadmap to account for the various changes which have happened till date.
This updated roadmap also reflects our added emphasis on focus going forward; that is, to double-down on our — in particular developments that are in nature — which would potentially enable us to prioritize the launch of our mainnet release before the end of 2019.
