Previously he was Senior Fellow to the CEO of NHS England. Harpreet trained as a clinical doctor at King’s College London and Imperial College Business School and holds a Masters Degree in Public Health (MPH) from Harvard University. Harpreet’s current work at NHS England includes leading on the NHS Digital Academy and working on the Global Digital Exemplar Programme. His talk will focus on understanding value-based healthcare approaches and defining quality in healthcare. ******** SPEAKER 2 – DR MELEK SOMAI ******** Dr Somai is Associate Director of the Centre for Cryptocurrency Research & Engineering. He is a physician, biostatistician, and public health professional with expertise in clinical informatics and global health innovation. His research integrates clinical informatics, clinical computing and data modelling. His talk will focus on the rise of digital health and personalised medicine, the potential role of information systems (inc. blockchain technology) in healthcare and the ethical implications of these issues.
