Hey guys, thought I'd give a quick run down of how I and many others buy crypto, paying no fees to do so. This may also be a way to bypass your bank's restrictions on buying crypto.
Please note: This is for newbies, or anyone who didn't know this was possible without paying fees. This is for people who live in a country which does not use EUR. This is only applicable in countries where you have legal access to the services of Revolut and Coinbase.
99% of you will have used Coinbase before, but if you don't know what Revolut is, it's just a digital bank and fiat exchange which charges no fees.
Step 1: Send your native fiat currency, for example GBP, to Revolut via debit card. This is easy to set up, Revolut walks you through it when you set up an account. This transfer should be near instant.
Step 2: Exchange your native fiat currency to EUR on Revolut. This again is instant, free and easy.
Step 3: Bank transfer your EUR to Coinbase. This is the only step which is not instant, it usually takes between 8 and 24 hours. I have done this a few times and it's taken less than 24 hours each time.
Step 4: Go onto GDAX, which is Coinbase's exchange. Transfer your EUR into your GDAX wallet from Coinbase. This is instant.
Step 5: Buy your crypto on GDAX using EUR pairings, making sure to use Limit orders instead of Market orders, as these are free.
Step 6: Transfer your crypto from GDAX to a personal wallet, or another exchange like Binance.
To conclude, all of these steps are feeless. You get exactly the amount of BTC, BCH, LTC or ETH that your native fiat is worth. If further clarification of any steps is needed just ask below, I purposely left out the detail as most of it is straightforward, and tutorials are available online if necessary.
EDIT: Removed USD as an option, Step 3 is only feeless if done by SEPA transfer.

Un subcomité del Comité de Servicios Financieros de la Cámara de Representantes de EE UU realizará una audiencia la próxima semana sobre criptomonedas y Ofertas Iniciales de Criptomonedas (ICO).
Un aviso publicado en el sitio web del comité indica que la audiencia del Subcomité de Mercados de Capital, Valores y Inversiones, titulada “Examinando las criptomonedas y los mercados ICO“, está programada para el 14 de marzo a las 10:00 am EST (hora del este de EE UU).
En declaraciones realizadas al margen de la Cumbre DC Blockchain de esta semana, el representante estadounidense Tom Emmer, miembro del subcomité, sugirió que la audiencia sería principalmente de naturaleza educativa, con el objetivo de proporcionar a los miembros más información sobre el mercado de criptomonedas y tokens.
