“The National Research Council of Canada, through its Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP) is using the Ethereum blockchain to proactively publish grants and contribution data in real time, a measure that complements ongoing quarterly proactive disclosures available through the Open Government website.”
This is huge for Ethereum and crypto. We have a government utilizing a blockchain from a top Crypto.
There are a lot of projects being built and running on the Ethereum network. Example: Tron and OmiseGo. Ethereum transactions are up significantly and have surpassed bitcoin and other cryptos.
Scalability updates such as Casper as being worked on and expected to roll out this year.
According to many blockchain experts, Ethereum will eventually surpass bitcoin to become the largest blockchain.
