–Consensus 2018–
The general consensus was this was going to be the event that sparked the next bull run like prior years. From the looks of things, that is not going to happen. The crypto markets in the years prior exploded after consensus, but this year is a whole different best. How will the market react after??
Consensus wasn’t all doom an gloom. . There was actually major developments for some underrated projects. iexec RLC $RLC and Blocknet $BLOCK.
–iexec RLC $RLC–
So Intel is part of the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance, and yesterday they presented a joint project with iexec during the EEA workshop. The collaboration is for privacy preserving off chain computing. The two have launched a new working group that will be focusing on solving the issue of privacy in the developments of the blockchain ecosystem.
Something that went unnoticed with this project is another collaboration they are working on, with Rootstock $RSK. Rootstock is aiming to be first open source smart contract platform that will allow Turing complete smart contracts for the bitcoin blockchain $BTC. iexec RLC is going to be providing off-chain computing to the decentralized applications that will be built on rootstock and secured by bitcoin.
–Blocknet $BLOCK–
Blocknet is aiming to become the internet of blockchains by providing a decentralized platform as a service, which is blockchain agnostic. The project is that much closer by unveiling the blockchain router, called the XRouter. The Xrouter enables a protocol that is comparable to domain name service of the traditional internet. Xrouter basically provides a list of currently connected blockchains and will allow interoperable actions between seperate blockchains.
