From a small team based in Singapore, they had the grand idea of using sharding to achieve higher TPS with the likes of trying the same idea… But Zilliqa released the first sharding network EVER!
Zilliqa is a high TPS Platform which currently recedes at number 36 in the Coinmarketcap rankings after a very steady decline in price throughout the bear market of 2018 with the currently sat at just over 2 Cents.
The Zilliqa network has promising results, they managed to achieve 2448 TPS with 6 Shares (600 Nodes per Shard) But this isn’t even the system maxed out, the test performed on Zilliqa with 6 shardes came back at 10,000 TPS so as the matures and more nodes become live Zilliqa could easily excel these numbers.

Project Proton:
Project Proton will help bring to the advertising powerhouses of the world, There is over $100 Billion spend a year on digital advertisement alone with much of it being lost to view bots and scams.
There are several huge advertising powerhouses behind the project and they aim to streamline and legitimize the online digital advertisement sector.
They plan to do this with the use of smart contracts they plan to utilize the contracts to digital identify users accessing the information eliminating spammers and view bots from receiving money for fake volume and advertising.

BOLT is one of the most exciting projects being built on the Zilliqa network, they boast a web streaming app, an Android app and have over 3 Million users using the live TV and short-form video on the platform.
The BOLT team believes that both content creators and users should both be rewarded on the platform if it’s adding new content or adding translations to videos and even highlighting headline in different countries. The platform believes it can offer more than another online streaming platform and they have every intention to strive further.

With the release of Mainnet, you can now fully mine new Zilliqa on their own network a first for the project and makes me very excited for the future of the project.
How it works and what you need:
You can duel mine Zil and Eth.
Proof of work is only needed for the first 5 minutes every 1.5 hours helping reduce energy costs.
Miners are rewarded for every valid Signature per DS Epoch (Every 1.5 hours) Making distribution fairer and not winner takes all.

With the cheaper energy costs to mine Zilliqa and the ability to duel-mine with , it will be a stand out choice for small miners and big projects.
The requirements to mine Zilliqa as well as computer power are low giving more users the option to mine and set up nodes on the system achieve higher TPS.
