The Zap Contract Builder for Android 1.0.10 is now live!

New features:

– Local compilation (no internet/server needed)

– Solidity 0.5.7 supported

The app can be downloaded here, on the Google Play store.

The technical team has also started testing the initial prototypes for:

– Binary version of the Multi-party oracle

– Various payout systems for Multi-party oracle

– Multiple-blockchain integration

Zap Booth, Hackathon, and a visit from Ron Paul at Consensus

The premier annual gathering of the global cryptocurrency and blockchain technology community, called Consensus, will take place in New York City May 13th-15th.

During this event, the Zap team will be present at a booth with DAPNet.

As well, Zap will be hosting a hackathon to showcase political oracles and how they can be used to upset the political apple cart. Developers will then compete to create their own political oracles.

We are also expecting a speech from former U.S. Congressman and presidential candidate Dr. Ron Paul!

Medical Oracle

Our Armenian team is working with a medical university in Armenia to create an infusion pump capable of recording and transmitting data capable for use on the blockchain. This will be the first prototype of anonymous patient data oracles enabling patients to share their data for medical research and direct compensation.

Startup Boost Weekend

Hosted at the French University in Armenia from April 26–28, Startup Boost Weekend is an event “to celebrate entrepreneurship and encourage students to make change in their communities and around the world.” Director of business development for Blocktech and Zap, Peter G. Mikkelsen spoke at the event and mentored three teams who were looking to use blockchain technology to enhance their projects. These included a token economy surrounding social media and hospitality services, and automated emergency services triggered by smart contracts.

UFAR Blockchain Research Hub Moves Next to TUMO

At the same time as the Startup Boost Weekend, the French University and thus their Blocktech Research Hub celebrated their move with the university next to TUMO: Center for Creating Technologies. As TUMO is looking to expand their coding and technical tools as well as to bridge the gap between high school and university level students. Blocktech Lab, powered by Zap, will be a significant partner in aiding these efforts within the sphere of blockchain.
