Launched in October 2014, Woodcoin (LOG) is a completely distributed, non-premined, mine-able, proof-of-work international public currency. The purpose for Woodcoin is to deal with a problem existing with the supply economics of various public money. The reward schedule either drops too quickly or too slowly. Woodcoin’s reward drop is a harmonic series, which more closely models renewable resources rather than non-renewable. Therefore, while it is always better to chop LOGs today than tomorrow, there will still always be an incentive to protect the network tomorrow. The logarithmic money supply curve is created for stability and longevity, with the longest reward schedule of any other digital coin. Half the LOGs will be issued in the first 200 years. Moreover, every block is worth less than the preceding one – so earlier adopters are always rewarded.
