We use High Quality, UV and Water Resistant Vinyl by ORACAL and Schein Holographics. The decals are computer die-cut so there is no background. The negative space will be whatever the decal is adhered to. For example, if a white decal is applied to a silver laptop, then the background will be silver. For outdoor applications, we recommend ORACAL 651 which offers an exceptional 6 years of outdoor durability. For short-term outdoor and indoor applications such as wall decor, we recommend ORACAL 631 which offers 3 years of outdoor durability and removes cleanly and easily for up to 2 years after application. If you are looking for a shiny gold or chrome look, then Schein Holographics is your best option which offers 5 years of outdoor durability.
