Will ETH Surge After Ethereum Constantinople Hard Fork? – Jan 3rd Cryptocurrency News 2019
Happy New Year. Satoshi Nakamoto processed the first official block on this exact day, only ten years ago. This day last year bitcoin [BTC] was just under $15,000, and today it is just under $4,000. 2017 was definitely the year we saw bitcoin [BTC] become a global star, but then we just watched it tumble in 2017. So what will happen this year? Well, Michael Novogratz the Founder of Galaxy Digital is still a strong believer and started 2019 by putting more of his money into crypto. He now owns almost 80% of Galaxy Digital stock. In the near term Novogratz expects bitcoin [BTC] to remain in between $3,000 and $6,000. bitcoin [BTC] ended last year at under $3,800. Today we saw it climb past $3,900.
Ethereum is back in second place in terms of marketcap again after experiencing recent gains. The Ethereum Constantinople hard fork has is expected to take place on January 16th. The update is supposed to make the Ethereum network faster and more cost-effective. Cryptocurrency exchange Binance this week announced that it will support the hard fork.
