I discovered that I like simple questions with not-so-simple answers. A recent one I came across: Why do we need Blockchain technology?
While the question is simple, I realized that the answer is not at all. We’re at such an early stage in the blockchain age that there’s hardly any application layer examples for what we can actually do with it. It’s like thinking about the internet without Email, Google, Facebook or Amazon. In this video I go back some 2000 years to think about why Blockchain technology helps us solve an old problem – we want to trade without the involvement of third parties.
