Henri Pihkala, our CEO at Streamr, gives his monthly update, which includes exciting announcements about new partnerships and the Marketplace being launched far earlier than expected.
Marketplace news: We’re happy to confirm that our Marketplace will be functional by the end of Q2. In a matter of months, we’ll have participants on the Marketplace. That means people buying and selling data.
DATA coin news: When the Marketplace launches within the next three months, we hope that hundreds and soon thousands of buyers and sellers of real-time information will be making transactions in DATA coin. There’ll be no clearer demonstration of our token’s full utility when the Marketplace is launched in under 15 weeks.
Recruitment news: We’ve finalised multiple hires over the last few weeks. This includes Streamr Lab’s six extra developers for Streamr’s technical development and three biz dev hires Carl Rodrigues, Anders Eklund and Ilmari Kontulainen.
Rebranding news: We’ve started to roll out our new brand. Our website, applications and other assets will start to change over the next few weeks and the new brand will be right at the heart of our Marketplace user interface when it launches in the next quarter.
Community news: Over the last month, we also repurposed our Rocket Chat to make it a place for technical and business development. Last week we also migrated our blog to Medium.
Partnership news: We can now announce that we have more than half a dozen in the bag. These include longer-term R&D partnerships with smaller crypto and open source projects as well as intimate cooperation with multiple Fortune 500 companies.
