News and updates from the district0x Network

This past week on our Discord Monday Chat we discussed an article on EIP-1559, Fixing the Ethereum Fee Market. In a nutshell, the article highlights issues with how gas fees are paid, which is inefficient for user adoption right now, and how EIP-1599 attempts to address this. As suggested on our discord, we would gain just about every piece of efficiency we could expect to out of the fee marketplace, while the only downside would be losing the potential to pay fees in something other than ETH. To get involved in discussions on what we’ve been reading, stop by our discord on Mondays at around 9am PT.

Initial beta-testing for Meme Factory has finally begun! After some technical setbacks over the last few months, as described in our bi-weekly Dev Updates, Meme Factory was released in beta to the district0x ops service providers. We have been actively testing and generating issues for the developers to review, which are also available for anyone else to check out on the Meme Factory GitHub page. For a closer look at the development status across all of our open projects, please refer to our most recently published bi-weekly dev update.
