I’m working at Amazon MTurk for more than 4 years. Making 2-3$ an hour on average, for making many small tasks every day.
At the beginning I was thankful for Amazon for building MTurk, I made 300-400$ a month in my job before it and now I’m getting closer to 1000$ a month (this amount help me to pay the rent and for my 2 kids).
I’m thankful to Amazon because they helped me to make more money working from home, but my lifestyle became worse, working 12 hours a day from the computer make you feel like a slave after a while.
Lately, i discovered 2 blockchain companies that claim they will cut the middle man (Amazon) and decentralize Mturk.
It will leave more money to us (the workers). I didn’t found the exact number on the internet, but there are more than 100k workers at Amazon MTurk, Amazon got an army of micro-tasks freelancers, they take up to 40% from each micro-task we made which is a lot. They can take 40% fee because there isn’t any competition on the market.
The blockchain companies that work on decentralize MTurk are: Gems and Effect Ai I’m not a trader so I don’t care much about the bitcoin price or the bearish market, I care about the life-changing technology that will give thousands of people the opportunity to work from home, make better money than a decent job in their country in a fair & decentralize way.
