In this event, Jan Xie, chief architect of Nervos, will give a deep dive in "How to leverage layered architecture solving the scalability problem". Nervos is a suite of public chain solutions created by Jan Xie, an ex-Ethereum Core dev and an ex-blockstream researcher. While projects like bitcoin or Ethereum are experimenting with an improved consensus algorithm and various sharding implementations, Nervos is taking a layered architecture approach to solve the scalability problem. Nervos decouples the blockchain infrastructure into two layers. Layer 1 focuses solely on security and optimizing for Layer 2, while it does not focus on performance. Layer 2 focuses on efficiency and usability, utilizing a layered structure to satisfy different design requirements at a different level to tackle the scalability trilemma.
