Safebit API — Early Access – Safebit – Medium

Safebit API — Early Access – Safebit – Medium

TL;DR — Safebit is an operating system for the blockchain ecosystem. Our primary purpose is to build a strong interoperability layer between the various blockchains (Bitcoin, Ethereum, EOS) that will enable smooth cross-chain operation. One blockchain is great. Several weaved together start to form a more complex network — a new type of internet that we all like to call Web 3, also known as “the Financial Internet”.

Our intention is to build a strong backbone for developers to build the next generation of decentralized applications.

One of the first services we are aiming to ship is our API, which comes in two flavors.

MetaNode API

MetaNode is a general purpose API that enables you to interact with any blockchain that’s connected to Safebit through a single and uniform API. This includes querying for blocks, address balances, publishing transactions, getting transaction statuses and more. Currently, we have Bitcoin and Ethereum support for MetaNode in early alpha and are looking to add more blockchains.

This API can power your blockchain explorer, provide live and historical blockchain data for your app and even power the backend for your wallet and exchange.

MetaNode API is going into early access early April — want in? Ping us at contact (@) safebit.io

Wallet-as-a-service API

Our managed API is a complete solution for crypto management that enables developers to integrate crypto in their apps without having to deal with user account management or crypto custody.

Blueprint provides a higher abstraction level than MetaNode: Instead of dealing directly with blockchain data, developers work directly with user accounts and asset tickers.

What you get is a wallet-as-a-service.

This means that as a developer, you don’t need to deal with managing user state and balances or tracking transaction statuses across blockchains — everything is done for you.

Coming soon along with comprehensive documentation!
