He has almost a decade of experience in managing and contributing to Big Data and backend development projects. His work has been in creating tools for collective action, the ethics of augmented decision making and modelling online tracking networks. In the COMPROP project at the Oxford Internet Institute Alex has built automated Social Media accounts and contributed to analysing the political economy of the manipulation of Social Media algorithms. Briony Horvath, Risk and Compliance Director – Flagstone IM Briony works with businesses to get the balance between innovation, technology, regulation and ethics right. With practical experience of working within global financial services institutions as well as rapid growth start-ups, her interests span across all areas of technology from data analytics to leveraging technologies for improving customer experience, as well as the management of risk. She holds a master's degree in Corporate Governance and Business Ethics. Tim Swift , COO – Unifi.id Unifi.id, a 5-year-old scale-up revolutionising how the built environment captures and builds upon the location data of its occupants. With customers such as Deloitte, Central Working and University College London, Unifi.id provides management with the tools to improve safety, security, utilisation, operations and even user experience, through the collection of comprehensive, individual-level data in real-time. Tim holds an MBA from London Business School and a Master of Engineering from Loughborough University, and has led engineering, IT and marketing projects for Amey, GE Capital, and Unifi.id in the UK and internationally. Monique Bachner, Independent Director and Board Advisor Monique sits on several Boards and Advisory Boards. Having started her career as a corporate lawyer at Magic Circle firms, she now assists Boards in understanding digitisation, and in the creation of their governance, innovation and digital transformation strategies. Her particular expertise is in the intersection of ethical, governance and regulatory frameworks. In addition to being on the Board of ILA (the Luxembourg Institute of Directors), she is Chair of LëtzBlock (the Luxembourg Blockchain and DLT Association). Monique is an ILA Certified Director and INSEAD IDP-C. Monique is active in several international working groups related to governance, ethics, digitisation, decentralisation, and regulations. She is a frequent speaker at conferences and training programmes around the world. Arnav Joshi, technology lawyer and consultant Arnav has extensive experience representing some of the world's largest technology companies on a wide range of issues, and currently works with the Cybersecurity and Data Protection consulting practice at PwC in London. He holds a master's degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science, specialising in Data Ethics and Privacy, where he also frequently published on matters connected to the field and was a researcher on Open Society Foundations and Google AI technology ethics consulting projects, focusing on explainability, transparency, accountability and privacy in Machine Learning systems.
