The Safex Blockchain entered hardfork v3 to address the mining instability. On this hardfork the team reduced the window of difficulty recalculation in order to be more responsive to changes in the hashing rate. This means that large influx and outflux of mining power will be less impactful of the stability of mining.
If you were mining in the past, now is the right time to turn it on. You only need to update if you were running a bitcoin [BTC] full node.
