I don’t think there is not much of a discussion to be had in gambling you can be assured you are going to lose in trading with this is not the case since with study and experience you can improve your chances of earning money.
I think both have the same effect. With seasoned gambler, they are able to book winning and profit same way with trading. The only difference is that trading can make us recover our loses even if the market is crashing, while in gambling once we bet and lose it is already lost. That is one of the difference of this two.
