This. bitcoin’s dominance is already lower than it’s ever been. With a hard fork, at least one alt is bound to surpass its mcap, which will be catastrophic.
But ripple once fiddled it’s market cap to appear higher than Bitcoins, and it wasn’t catastrophic. Ripple crashed, coinmarketcap adjusted ripple’s apparent market cap, then bitcoin went back to number one and stayed there. If an alt gets pumped higher than bitcoin it won’t last long.
