Hey Guys and Gals!
I recently purchased 3x XFX RX 480 8GB RX-480P8LFLR from Best Buy.
Currently I am getting a steady 27.8MH per card, all I have done so far is overclocked the memory to 2250mhz.
I’ve read thread after thread of people achieving 30-32MH per card with RX 480 8gb, but only with bios mods… So I’ve tried to find a bios mod for my specific card, with no success.
Then I went the route of doing it myself. The cards have Samsung memory, I found a couple guides… which all said basically the same thing. Copy the 1750mhz strap to the 2000mhz strap, and flash it onto the card. After doing that, my card loses lots of performance and drops down to 5 or 6 MH.
I’ve tried clicking Reset in Wattman after flashing the bios as well in case there was any wonkiness going on in the settings.
Could someone please assist me, or if anyone has a working bios for this card and could share it… I would greatly appreciate it! Ultimately, I’d love to hit 30-32MH, while not increasing the power usage too much… I’ve seen some cards able to hit 30-32MH while lowering power consumption, which would be incredible….
