I don’t know if you are referring to a particular service but usually yes you need to be verified to withdraw from paypal account to the virtual card. Otherwise you are in risk to have your card locked and the funds maybe lost. So my advice is be sure to be verified before trying or you may loose some money
I was referring to Wirex virtual card not the paypal account. I mean I need to verify my Wirex card by submitting documents in order to withdraw funds to my wirex card to can I do it without submitting the documents?

Hello Joshua. Please, DO NOT TRY to withdraw from PayPal to your card without doing the Wirex Verification Process, or your card WILL BE BLOCKED BY THE BANK. Yes, you can use your Virtual Wirex Card to activate and verify your PayPal account. Please check here to learn how to do it:
However, before doing any kind of transaction between PayPal and Wirex (even the PayPal Verification) you NEED to verify your Wirex card. It’s absolutely necessary.

I would like to know that too, I withdrew money from my PayPal to the card at some point without verifying any documents and I didn’t get my account frozen or anything and the card is still functional. I’m not sure If it has something to do with the fact that I’ve used the service at the early days though, It’s being a long since I didn’t withdrew from PayPal.
I think they made some changes in past few months could you please try to withdraw a small amount just to confirm is its still working or not

Hi, today we had a big changes, personally i never used before wirex but i was using e-coin.io . Now we are forced to put a phone number, also with existing and verified too e-coin.io account. As the service now is used not more on a app, don’t you think phone verification must be removed from the user experience. i already wrote to the support but, i have verified account, and 2 factor auth enabled…now i’m trying to enter in wirex and there is a ridicolous error ” phone number not set “. I’m very upset about this, yesterday were a scheduled mantenaince for make the change…how could be possible to forget e-coin user and relative problems upcoming after migration?
