Wi Coin (WiC)
Wi Coin (WiC) is a coin that will bring crypto to the masses. Today, 99% of the people involved in crypto currencies use it either as a speculative asset or hoard it with a dream of becoming a millionaire overnight. This is the primary reason for the lack of adoption and WiC is a coin that will solve this issue. WiC will give the average person a reason to buy and use crypto in his everyday life. Introducing the killer app of the crypto world, “CryptoWi”, an app which rewards its users in Wi Coins (WiC) for doing what they do every day, use their Wi-Fi! This is how it works:

First, you will need to create an account to use the app and earn and store your WiCs.

Second, the app will ask the user to upload passwords of the Wi-Fi connections that are stored on the device. The user can choose not to upload sensitive networks like his/her home Wi-Fi. The user is awarded 100 WiC per correct password uploaded, so in the example screenshot above, the user gets 300 WiC for uploading 3 passwords to the network. The user will also be able to set a custom price in WiC for each of these networks. Anybody who wants to connect to these networks will have to pay this amount and it will be credited to the original password uploader. This gives an added incentive to people for not changing the password and helps the community grow larger. 10,000,000 WiC have been reserved for distribution to the users in the early stages of the app to grow the user base. At 100 coins per password, this will be 100,000 passwords.

 

On the app’s main screen, the user is shown a list of passwords available on the app’s network that are nearby the user’s current location. The green label seen in the above screenshot besides every wifi name is its price that is set by the user that uploaded the password.

The “Map” tab shows the number of available wifi passwords at any location in the world searched by the user. The user will also be able to navigate to these wifi spots in offline mode in the future.

The earned coins will be withdrawable from this tab. Future planned feature includes shapeshift integration.

ICO & Escrow details – Max 750 BTC cap
We will be having an ICO (Initial Coin Offering) for WiC with 25 million coins being offered to investors with the following bonus structure for early birds:
1) Day 1 (6 pm EST) – April 22, 2017 – 30% Bonus
2) April 23 (6:01 pm EST) – April 30, 2017 – 25% Bonus
3) May 1 (6:01 pm EST) – May 8, 2017 – 15% Bonus
4) May 9 (6:01 pm EST) – May 16, 2017 – 10% Bonus
5) May 17 (6:01 pm EST) – May 24, 2017 (Final Week) – No Bonus
 

The price per WiC will be decided by the market forces. There is no fixed price and it will be decided by the formula:
Total Investment / Number of ICO coins (25,000,000)

Your investment will be increased by the corresponding bonus when you invest. So for example, if you invest 1 BTC on the first day it will count as 1.3 BTC, if you invest 1 BTC on May 12, it will count as 1.1 BTC and so on. Early supporters have the maximum bonus of 30% which keeps decreasing to 0% for the final week.

Meet the Team
1) Ronald B. Sao – Founder. Ronald has been in the IT industry for more than 10 years and has been active in the bitcoin world since 2014. This is his first project and he hopes this will be the killer app the crypto world has been waiting for since 2008. Mass adoption is the primary goal.

2) Catherine – Marketing and Investment. Expert in marketing and holding a PhD in Advertising, Catherine is responsible for creating a buzz for the project with both online and offline marketing. She has also made the much needed initial investment into this project.

3) Deepak Kumar – App development. Expert in java, C++, XML and Eclipse, Deepak is the lead developer of the team and responsible for squashing any bugs in the app and ensuring all software works flawlessly.
