This guide will show you how to use a credit card to pay for a digital services provider on CanWork. The funds cannot be accessed by the freelancer until the job is complete and you release the funds.
This guide assumes you have already on CanWork and the terms of the job have been agreed to by both parties.
Step 1. Select the Job
You are now ready to pre-charge the escrow smart contract with the agreed job value.
Select the job from the Manage Jobs page.
Click “View Job”
Step 2. Click Authorise Escrow
Step 3. Choose Credit Card Payment
Step 4. Secure your ‘Wallet’
CanWork interacts with the and creates a secure, browser-based for this purpose.
- Create a Password and click “Get Wallet”
You will need this password to release funds to the freelancers when the job is complete.
- Record the 12 word passphrase and click “Proceed to payment”
This passphrase will allow you to re-generate or export your new at any time.
Step 5. Enter your Credit Card Details
That’s it!
Payment is now secure in the escrow smart contract. You can check this status and the transaction details on the job management page.
The funds cannot be accessed by the freelancer until the job is complete and you release the funds.
How do I release the funds?
Once the freelancer has completed the job and you are satisfied you can release the funds on the job management page.
- Go to Manage Jobs
- Click “Complete Job”
- Enter your password
- Click “Finish Job”
