
The Opera web browser has announced that it will be integrating TRON’s TRX tokens and other TRC-standard tokens into its native cryptocurrency wallet. This according to a Medium , May 15, 2019.

Opera has rather warmly taken to blockchain and cryptocurrency over time, the Norway-based software firm believes that the technology quite rightly fits into its , and has made solid strides toward adopting the nascent yet burgeoning tech.
In December of 2018, Opera became a , which included the integration of a cryptocurrency wallet that supported Ether and other ERC-20 standard tokens. The move also enabled easy access to the numerable dApps that have been emerging, which is a massive step for the industry and ecosystem as a whole.
In its blog post, Opera describes the need to make Web 3.0 “inclusive and user-friendly for people around the world.”
Krystian Kolondra, EVP at Opera, Head of Browsers said:
“TRON is a popular, quickly developing blockchain with a swiftly growing dApp ecosystem. We are happy to open our browser to it, ”
Now, with TRON being supported, Opera users have access to the myriad TRON game and dApps in the browser as well as previous Ethereum-based offerings. That said, Opera doesn’t intend to stop there. As per the blog, Opera has further plans to integrate more blockchains over the next twelve months, though it hasn’t specified which just yet.
Kolondra adds:
“By opening products to multiple blockchains, we are accelerating the mainstream adoption of Web 3.”

Web 3.0 is somewhat of a mystery as much as it is a reality in the world; whilst we are presently using Web 2.0 technologies, the ushering in of Web 3.0 will be much like that of its predecessor, and almost unnoticed.
However this time around the internet is abuzz with Web 3.0 contemplation, and blockchain is touted as a to this next generation.
That said, Opera is pretty confident that Web 3.0 is here, and it’s already accessible. The blog post writes:
“In December 2018, Opera became the first major Android browser to include a native Crypto Wallet and Web 3 explorer. These new features let people make transactions and interact with the blockchain-based internet of the future, also known as Web 3.”
