This work piece is handmade from extra thick solid hardwood (26 mm [1inch] / oak). It is finely sanded all around, the edges are pleasantly rounded and it is finally treated with natural linseed oil.
The chamfered seat provides better weight distribution and is ideal for prolonged sitting in a squat position. When used properly, this prevents numbness in the legs (oedormition prophylaxis).
The workpiece fits comfortably against the buttocks, enabling a relaxed and straight sitting posture.
It is particularly comfortable to sit on because the feet of the stool/bench are in the middle. Thanks to this arrangement, from the seat and centrally positioned feet, this stool/bench offers better movement and legroom to the sides, even during longer meditation sessions.
