Given that there can be a significant delay between submitting your investment order and when that order is actually processed, we added a new column to the dashboard so that you can now see both total and available assets while waiting for the order to be processed.
You can now export detailed performance reports that list your assets and profit/loss between any two dates selected since the launch of the new RialtoTrade.com platform on 18th February 2019.
Changes to the performance graphs
We have completely revamped the performance graphs by joining asset value, investments/disinvestments and profit data into a single graph and adding the new profit measure for our market making/arbitrage algorithm.
Due to the exchange rate fluctuations between the 12 different DAP assets used for market making and arbitrage, automatic reinvestment and occasional asset re-balancing, it became virtually impossible to see how much of that price fluctuation was due to the algorithm itself and how much was due to other factors.
We have therefore isolated the profit on a daily basis and are tracking it separately, so that it can be displayed on the new chart. Now our existing and prospective users can easily see how much value the algorithm is adding to the asset pool versus simply holding the same basket of assets.
When the user is logged in they can see exactly (in absolute terms) how their assets/profits/investments/disinvestment have moved over time, whereas non-registered users will only see the second chart with relative performance metrics in percentage terms.
Because we now display multiple charts on a single graph you can also show/hide individual charts by clicking on their names in the legend below the graph.
Lifetime performance which was becoming increasing irrelevant for the algorithm has been removed from all products as was the chart, which was very flat anyway and didn’t add much value. Instead we have added USD and balance and 1, 3 and 6-month performance in USD and for all products and 1,3 and 6 month profit for the market making/arbitrage algorithm.
Important points about our market making/arbitrage algorithm’s performance
When assessing the performance of our market making/arbitrage algorithm it’s important to note that the algorithm uses 12 different assets (see the algorithm’s page for the full asset breakdown) and is therefore a basket of assets as much as it is a algorithm. This means that the returns of this algorithm are a combination of individual assets’ appreciation/depreciation versus /ETH/USD and the generated profit.
This of course limits both returns and risks compared to holding any single asset. It stands to reason therefore that there will be periods when this algorithm will underperform or over-perform the market depending on bear/bull market conditions of its constituent assets. Thanks to this diversification and the comparatively large amount of fiat currencies in the DAP basket, the biggest benefit of this algorithm is a significantly lower the downside risk when compared to other crypto investments, while still offering an attractive rate of return overall.
Bug fixes
Thanks to our users we identified a few minor bugs, which have also been fixed with the latest update and if you notice anything else please let our support team know via the link in the footer of the platform.
Conclusion
All in all we have been very busy since the launch of the new RialtoTrade.com platform to bring it to the level that our users expect and deserve. Now the time has finally come to start growing our user base, so our next project is a referral program. Keep an eye out for the referral program launch which will give you an opportunity to profit from referring new users.
