Chitwan ko “Taas” or just Taas is a popular dish in Nepal. It is the spicy fried goat-meat dish.This recipe was first introduced by one of the restaurant owner in Chitwan. His restaurants are now a days very popular and known as BHETGHT restaurant. The owner of this restaurant researched for a year to get this exact recipe.
Taas is a complete packet: it is not the name of a perticular food. A complete set is called ”Taas”
It is served as shown in the video with spices on puffed rice, radish pickle, side salad and meat separately in a plate.
Ingredients For mutton taas (Chitwan ko Taas) :
600 grams Mutton
Salt to taste
1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
8 tbsp Cooking Oil
2 tbsp Ginger / garlic paste
1 tbsp Coriander Seed Powder and Cumin Seed Powder mixed
1 tsp red/green Chillies chopped
1 tbsp garam masala
1 Lemon Juice
1/4 tbsp Szechuan pepper
For Puffed rice masala:
5 cup Bhujjiya (Puff Rice)
1/2 cup spring onion
1/2 cup Ginger/ garlic slice
