McAfee, the cybersecurity genius, has offered to help CZ/Binance with the exchange’s security issue.
The Binance hack led to the loss of 7,000 BTCs worth $41 million and a lot of user data, following which Binance announced that they would be shutting down withdrawals and deposits. The update also mentioned that trading wouldn’t be affected.
McAfee offered to help CZ with security issues. He tweeted,
. – if I can help at all please let me know. Underneath my clown suit is still one of the most experienced cybersecurity experts on the planet. I’ve been doing it for 51 years. I am at your service.

CZ soon responded to McAfee, stating that he would “pick his brain” about the matter.
The Binance hack, according to official announcements, was a result of a number of invasive techniques including, phishing viruses and others. The Bitcoins that were hacked have since moved to different wallets, according to Token Analyst.
We took a quick look at the hack, and have identified hacker owned wallets (green) that are holding 5846.32 BTC (~$34M) of the 7000 BTC that was stolen. This has not moved since the hack

McAfee remarked,
“Hackers are the dark wizards of our age. Now is the time for my cybersecurity peers to prove they are wizards of the people. I challenge my one-time awesome and fearful competitor – @e_kaspersky – to join me in offering support to @cz_binance. And all of the rest of you.”
McAfee called for ‘wizards’ to fight ‘dark wizards’ and curb hacks on exchanges. McAfee also invited the CEO of Kaspersky, Eugene Kaspersky.
A Twitter user, @pepefrogman, commented,
“Looks like sophisticated attack where many individual user accounts were compromised and then used for simultaneous withdraw. Impressive, really”
@Z3nTrader, another Twitter user, commented,
“Ah this is like a crypto intervention. Keep the clown suit in the closet for 12 months and put that mind of yours to work, sir. Build it and they will come!”
