List of Online Stores Accepting [BTC]

List of online stores accepting [btc]

Even though Bitcoin is still seen as something worth holding rather than spending on various products, there are numerous online retailers who went to great lengths to integrate payment options for the said cryptocurrency.

Nowadays, you can buy practically anything with Bitcoin, from VPN services to home goods, to pizza, to plane tickets. Below is a list with some of the top online stores accepting Bitcoin as payment for their products.

Microsoft

Microsoft is one of the first tech giants to accept Bitcoin as an official payment method for some of its top products ever since 2014. By adding [BTC]s to your Microsoft account, you can buy anything from Windows 10 licenses to games, movies, and apps in the Windows and Xbox stores. Microsoft temporarily stopped accepting [BTC]s because of their inherent volatility issues but have started to once again accept them as a form of payment later on.

Overstock

Overstock was one of the first big online retailers to start accepting [BTC]s as payment for their products way back in 2014. The online store allows its customers to pay for a plethora of products using [BTC]s, starting from electronics such as TV sets and laptops or computers to home-related products, such as pillows.

What’s most impressive about this retailer, in particular, is the fact that it comes with support for all the major cryptocurrencies out there, not just Bitcoin. These include Ethereum, Litecoin, Dash, Monero, and Bitcoin Cash.

Expedia

We live in a time where it’s easier to travel than ever before, hence, booking your next trip with [BTC]s makes a lot of sense. Expedia is one of the world’s biggest online travel booking agencies and has been accepting [BTC]s since 2014. Expedia teamed up with Coinbase to implement this new payment option which has proved a success over the last couple of years. Unfortunately, Bitcoin payment is currently only accepted for hotel bookings.

eGifter

eGifter is an online service that allows you to use your hard-earned [BTC]s to purchase gift cards from places that don’t directly accept [BTC]s, such as Amazon, JCPenny, Sephora, Home Depot, Kohl’s and many others. Just like Expedia and Overstock, eGifter is also a partner of Coinbase.

Shopify (Shopify stores)

You may be familiar with Shopify, a world-renowned e-commerce platform that allows merchants to set up their own online shops and sell goods in a similar way to Amazon, eBay, and other online giants. In 2013, all Shopify merchants received the option to accept Bitcoin payments with the help of a service called BitPay.

In theory, you can’t buy anything from Shopify’s site itself using Bitcoin, since their SaaS platform does not accept cryptocurrencies. This option is only available for merchants using the Shopify platform using services like Coinbase Commerce.

CheapAir

CheapAir is an American flight booking service that allows you to pay for flights using a wide range of cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin included. The service allows you to make both domestic and international flight bookings. To take advantage of CheapAir’s Bitcoin payment system, you must have a Coinbase wallet.

Newegg

Newegg is one of the biggest electronic retail companies and accepts Bitcoin as a standard payment method by using BitPay as its official payment processing partner. Currently, Newegg accepts Bitcoin for a decent range of products and services except will call orders, Newegg gift cards, marketplace items, subscription orders, premier memberships, return shipping labels. Some of the most popular choices for users paying with Bitcoin are hardware parts for computers, as well as mining hardware.

PizzaForCoins

Remember the story about the guy that spent 10,000 [BTC]s for two Papa John’s pizzas way back in 2010? Not saying that buying pizza with Bitcoin will result in a similar mistake, but nowadays, you can get your pizza by spending close to 50 cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin included) at PizzaForCoins.

The service acts as a sort of intermediary as it first locates a pizza venture close to your location, and then allows you to order it and pay for it digitally. Do keep in mind that a small fee for the service is included in the final payment amount.

Reeds Jewelers

Reeds Jewelers is a prominent US-based fine jeweler with lots of locations spanning over 13 states. From Reeds Jewelers, you can buy anything from jewelry to premium watches and loose diamonds. Not only can you pay with Bitcoin in all of these locations, but the service includes free delivery via armored transport for any purchases of loose diamonds valued at more than $25,000.

Gyft

Gyft is an online gift card service that allows you to purchase goods from an impressive array of online retailers (more than 200, to be exact). The service offers cards for retailers such as Southwest Airlines, Whole Foods, CVS Pharmacy, Hotels.com, and Target among others. To purchase cards from Gyft, you need to have a Coinbase account.

More Stamps Global

More Stamps Global has just recently announced that it will start accepting payments via “forty different popular cryptocurrencies.” As expected, Bitcoin is among these cryptocurrencies. More Stamps Global allows you to choose from flights, car rentals, hotel bookings, and all sorts of other traveling packages.

Bitcoinshirt.co

Bitcoinshirt.co is an online retailer specialized in selling “funky” Bitcoin merchandise, such as T-shirts, hoodies, coffee mugs, hats, posters, and more. The online store is renowned for its creative designs, which can be bought using more than 30 different types of online cryptocurrencies.

Final words

As expected, this is just a small number of individual online stores and retailers that accept Bitcoin as a form of payment. However, the ones mentioned in our list are well-established stores with good popularity and good community backing, which means that they are very safe options.

Therefore, if you happen to own some [BTC]s and you want to spend them online, you can’t go wrong with any of these options.
