A bespoke slim and ultra simple Kangaroo leather wallet to get the job done.
This wallet is part of the Glazed Kangaroo line. It features full grain vegetable tanned kangaroo leather that has been "burnished" to leave a nice shiny and smooth surface.
This wallet is comprised of just two pieces! That's right! Just two. An inner piece and an outer piece that wraps around the inner, forming a bill slow and two side pockets.
This wallet is made to fit Australian currency, so if your notes are the same size (U.S bills are very similar in size), this wallet is for you. However, if you would like a wallet to fit your currency, and this one doesn't fit, just send me a conversation and I'll be happy to work out a size for you. Please keep in mind that depending on the amount of leather I use for your custom wallet, the price may change.
I make each wallet to order, by hand, without machines. That means I hand cut the leather, hand sew, and hand finish the wallet. I use kangaroo leather for its incredible toughness and slimness. I use 1 mm braided and waxed polyester Tiger thread for its unrivaled tensile strength.
I sew using the saddle stitch method, which is the strongest way to stitch leather together.
Apart from being very strong and durable, the wallet will develop a beautiful patina over time. The action of removing and replacing your wallet back into your pocket will slowly buff it, darkening the colour and giving it a rich, yet subtle, shine.
