Papercrypto.io has arrived to demystify, derisk, and devour cryptoconfusion with a game that allows anybody to construct a portfolio of cryptocurrencies.

On Wednesday, May 1st, we are launching our first trading contest, sponsored by Zabo, with roughly $175 in cryptocurrency prizes! Prizes will be spread among the top three traders:

1st Place: 15 mBTC ($100 at writing)

2nd Place: 350 mETH ($50 at writing)

3rd Place: 175 mETH ($25 at writing)

NOTE: mBTC = MilliBitcoin = 0.001 Bitcoin and mETH = MilliEther = 0.001 Ether. Just like we talk in terms of $1 bills and not 0.01 of $100 bills, we talk in terms of mBTC and not BTC.

Learn crypto. Have fun. Win prizes

Our team at Zabo created Papercrypto as a risk-free way for anybody to learn about and interact with cryptocurrency. It’s completely free to sign up and use.

In other words, we are paying you to learn and trade cryptocurrency!

When you sign up we give you virtual money you can use to buy and sell any of the top 100 cryptocurrencies in a simulated portfolio. Your cryptocurrency holdings track real market prices!

This allows you to test trading strategies or experience what it would be like to own cryptocurrencies without having to put your own money at risk.

Build your own portfolio of cryptocurrencies

Ever wanted to buy and hold Bitcoin? Are there interesting crypto projects you think might do well in the future? Want to see what $5,000 invested in cryptocurrency would look like a week from now? You can do all these things in Papercrypto.

Compete against friends (and enemies)

Trading yourself and testing strategies is fun — but we wanted to take it a step further, which is why we created contests.

Contests give you an opportunity to test your cryptocurrency trading skills against other people. Do well and you could take away one of our top prizes!

Papercrypto will kick off its first official public contest on May 1st. Below is some important contest information:

  • The contest will last two weeks
  • Registered participants will each receive $20,000 in virtual money to trade with
  • Traders can buy / sell as much as they want during the contest
  • At the end of two weeks, the three traders with the most valuable portfolios will win real cryptocurrency as prizes!

What are you waiting for? Come join the contest!

While you’re at it — hit us up at one of our community spots — we’d love to get your feedback and hear about your trades:

The Bitcoin Game #49: Digging Deeper (Part Two) – Eric Lombrozo

Hello, welcome to episode 49 of The bitcoin Game, I’m Rob Mitchell.

After moderating a bitcoin scaling panel at the State Of Digital Money in Los Angeles, I followed up by arranging back-to-back interviews with Ryan X. Charles and Eric Lombrozo. I wanted to dig a bit deeper into some issues around scaling and bitcoin forks. Last episode was my interview with Ryan, and now the yin to Ryan?’?s yang, Eric Lombrozo.

SPONSOR

While much of a Bitcoiner’s time is spent in the world of digital assets, sometimes it’s nice to own a physical representation of the virtual things you care about. For just the price of a cup of coffee or two (at Starbucks), you can own your own Bitcoin Keychain or the newer Bitcoin Fork Pen.
