As our Dapp analytics are being cited more frequently, we feel it is vital to give a clear definition of how we calculate each metric.
First thing first, we don’t filter data.
Unlike some of the Dapp ranking site, we provide the aggregated data directly from nodes. Filtering data without giving transparent criteria just sounds too centralized for decentralized applications. While some may think it’s good to remove bots, we provide additional metrics such as retention rate to help our users make a judgment on their own.
Let’s review our metrics and how they’re calculated.
Dapp Metrics
Users: Unique addresses interacting with a Dapp’s smart contracts
Transactions: Total number of successful transactions made to a Dapp’s smart contracts
Volume: Total amount of / ETH / TRX successfully transferred to a Dapp’s smart contracts (converted to USD by the rate from CoinMarketCap)
In the current version of RatingDapp, we don’t track “internal transactions” or “inline transactions,” the additional transactions invoked by a Dapp’s smart contracts. Only direct transactions from addresses to Dapps’ smart contracts are recorded.

Ecosystem Metrics
Daily / Weekly Active Dapps: Number of Dapps which had at least one transaction on the given date / during the past 7 days
Daily / Weekly Users: Unique addresses interacting with Dapps’ smart contracts on the given date / during the past 7 days
Daily / Weekly Transactions: Total number of successful transactions made to a Dapps’ smart contracts on the given date / during the past 7 days
Daily / Weekly Volume: Total amount of / ETH / TRX successfully transferred to Dapps’ smart contracts (converted to USD by the rate from CoinMarketCap) on the given date / during the past 7 days
