Enabling machines to communicate with one another using the Wise Network

Enabling machines to communicate with one another using the Wise Network

As technology continuously makes progress, things that were not possible a couple of years back are now suddenly possible. Humans have always been able to communicate with one another through different types of language. It wasn’t until 1877, the first instance of a telephone line was constructed that allowed humans to communicate over long distances not thought possible before. With the advent of wireless technology, in 1973 Motorola produced the first handheld mobile phones and that is when human communication became truly borderless.

When we think of communication, we instinctively think of language, sound and other means of human communication. We don’t view a rise in pressure from a pipe causing a pressure gauge to rise up in value, which in turn will cause a valve to release some of that pressure, as a form of communication. In fact, the essence of communication is the transmission and interpretation of data. Machines do in fact communicate with one another, yet in very primitive ways.

With the computer revolution, the possibilities for machines to communicate more complex data was achieved in the form of 1’s and 0’s when combined and built upon can convey very complex meaning, not unlike the alphabet.

We now take for granted all of this complexity and wonder, because it is hidden from us. Technology is embedded in our everyday lives that we don’t really think about it. But in essence, machines are communicating with one another all the time. We call this the Internet of Things (IoT). Things as simple as caller ID is never really thought about that much. We have never really lived without technology. This is, in fact, a form of machine-to-machine communication, where one phone transmits the caller’s information to another phone. This information is then displayed on the screen.

There are limitations to this, however. Since different manufacturers have different security standards and different protocols, there really is no way for everything to be linked together in a way that can be fully interpreted by every machine. This is like having a lot of people in one room, and every one of them speaks a different language. Only one or two of them are able to communicate in the same language. The only way that two people that speak two different languages can communicate with one another is with the help of an interpreter.

This is where the Enigma chip comes in. By utilizing technology from Gopher Protocol Inc., the Enigma chip is able to transmit and receive data from other devices with the chip installed. The Enigma chip can be considered an interpreter in this context.

A simple scenario for the applications of the direct machine to machine communication is with GPS systems and traffic. The way things are now, traffic is determined using GPS systems and there is a slight delay because the signals are being bounced all over the place. With the Enigma chip embedded into a car, two, three, four or even more cars and communicate directly with one another. This will result in real-time data of traffic and road conditions without the delays in GPS.

The AI system that is built into the Enigma chip will also be able to learn things more accurately the more data is available. This will allow machines themselves to communicate with one another without much human intervention. An example application of this is breakfast. A smart shower system would detect that you have finished taking a shower this data would then be relayed to the coffee machine. Since the coffee machine would learn from your daily habits of how you like your morning coffee, it would automatically brew coffee the way you prefer it.

Another feature of the Wise network is the use of WRC tokens. We traditionally see currency as a method of human transactions. With the Wise network, a machine will be able to transact with one another. Each Enigma chip will have a wallet address. Every time a machine requests data, they will transmit some tokens to the machine that sent them the data depending on the size of it. This will stimulate a new automated machine-to-machine economy. The applications of this can range anywhere from automatically paying bills, to setting up an automated data business without much human intervention.

The possibilities with a unified direct machine-to-machine communication will be endless. Wise is making this future a possibility by using their Enigma chip.
