EcoBit is proud to launch a project in support of the United Nations recommendations for the use of spirulina in the fight against hunger and malnutrition. EcoBit is launching a project to harvest spirulina in a more effective way while educating the public on the nutritional benefits of this super food.
EcoBit will have a eco-farm to culture spirulina in a large scale manner. EcoBit will have restaurant menus using spirulina in the EcoBit Brand Hotels. EcoBit will expand this to general restaurants in the near future to encourage a wider range of cuisine to use spirulina as a major ingredient in their cooking thereby spurring home cooks to also include spirulina in their cooking.
There are also significant environmental benefits that EcoBit hopes to derive from this project. This EcoBit project will help conserve the soil using organic farming techniques. The use of water is a fraction of what is needed for other types of crops with the ability to recycle water as well. This method uses very little energy.
Most important in EcoBit’s strategy of reducing CO2 will be greatly enhanced. On top of the tropical forest under EcoBit’s management, the spirulina farm will be a major contributor to reducing CO2 and a major production of O2. EcoBit hopes that spirulina will be a constant source of nutrition for the public as this project will be able to channel spirulina crops to the market.
