Hello to the community! The twenty-first episode of Decentralize This!, Enigma’s podcast hosted by Tor Bair, has just been released. Today we are excited to feature Josh Cincinnati.

Josh is the executive director of the Zcash Foundation, a non-profit focused on financial privacy and in particular serving users of the Zcash protocol. Zcash itself is a digital currency that provides enhanced privacy for users. Neither the foundation or the currency is to be confused with Zcash the company, which recently rebranded itself as the Electric Coin Company (but not quite in time for this podcast recording!). All of this can be a little confusing — but fortunately, Josh helps break down these definitions and relationships, as well as the mission of the Zcash Foundation, on this podcast.

On Decentralize This!, we feature guests from around the blockchain and decentralization space. By taking a closer look at what prominent people are building and thinking about, we hope to find new ways to work together on creating solutions and getting these new technologies adopted at scale.

On this episode Josh talks about the purpose of foundations (and Zcash Foundation in particular), how he thinks about privacy for individuals, how to get millions of people actually using Zcash, and why we should still have trust in blockchain technology — even if Bruce Schneier is a skeptic.
