Introducing Crypto University: a digital university that provides access to accurate, up-to-date info about crypto.
The Problem
With modern sources
Even those of us who enjoy internet access are not guaranteed reliable information. Sadly, scandals concerning social network censorship, propaganda, and monopolization of online services are commonplace nowadays.
With traditional sources
Left-liberal political bias in traditional educational establishments fosters censorship and violence against porters of different opinions. In addition, universities are centralized institutions, naturally too slow to adjust to the fast development of blockchain and other cutting edge technologies.
The Solution
We propose a Crypto University, where students will be able to access and share knowledge about crypto technology, blockchain, economical outlooks, and more, all updated and fact-checked in real time.
Despite the incorporation of blockchain technology in industries across the board, few people really understand how it works. The public’s interest in online blockchain and cryptocurrency courses is growing quickly, and the online courses market is set to reach $423B by 2023 – 15% of which will represent IT courses alone. Crypto University is the chance people are waiting for.
Imagine an education system that is never deprived of funds, never threatened to be shut down, and where students and professors can voice different opinions without fear of being excluded. Does it sound perfect?
Crypto University Concept
The Crypto University works as a cycle: users get tokens, receive a crypto education, create their own courses, and receive tokens in return. When they enroll in courses they are students; when they design courses they are professors.
Students and professors interact in the three layers that make up the Crypto University:
A campus The place where courses are taught. Some courses have free enrollment. In other cases, student will exchange tokens for each hour of the course. These tokens will (after deducting a small fee) go to the professor.
A WIKI library This is bitcoinwiki.org, the knowledge base of the university, where users will find articles and discussion.
A faculty The faculty is made up of the professors who design courses in exchange for WIKI tokens.
With the incentive of receiving tokens, users are encouraged to write articles on crypto topics for the library, create classes for the campus, and partake in any activity that involves sharing knowledge with the community. Active students are eligible for a scholarship.
All courses pass through a crowd sourced verification procedure to ensure they are top level programs, contain accurate information, and do not stray off crypto topics.
Wiki Token
The wiki token is an Ethereum-based, ERC-20 compatible token, which makes it easy to hold. The circulation of wiki tokens is the glue that brings all 3 layers of the Crypto University together. How?
The ecosystem works like this: users participate in the WIKI project; they read articles, study topics, and share their experiences. These activities will allow them to get their first wiki tokens. The tokens can be exchanged for enrollment in courses. Users will also be able to build their own courses. All the content will be proofread and strictly fact-checked before publishing, to ensure accuracy and objectivity in the information. The course authors will receive wiki tokens for their effort.
21,000,000 wiki tokens will be released, 35% of which will be on offering. 10% will be reserved for the project team by a smart contract. Another 35% will be distributed to authors of successful courses, and the remaining 20% will be available for students contributing to the WIKI library (bitcoinwiki.org).

Crypto University will challenge our current education system by providing a knowledge space that is up to date with cutting edge tech, free from political censorship and constantly fighting disinformation. Anybody who can study hard enough will be granted a special scholarship. It will be available for people internationally, with nearly 4,000 original articles translated to eleven languages, and eight more on the way.
We believe blockchain technology is certain to play a big role in our lives in the near future. Today, most people have heard of blockchain but still have no idea what it is. Now, for the first time, they are granted a chance to keep up with the rapidly changing world around them, free from censorship and political bias.
