Cardano Has a New Wallet Supporting ADA T – Yoroi

Cardano (ADA) has now a new wallet that supports the ADA cryptocurrency that runs on top of the Cardano Network. The new wallet is known as Yoroi and it promises to bring a simple, fast and secure experience to users. ADA is the cryptocurrency created to be used on the Cardano network.

Yoroi: The New ADA Wallet

ADA users will now be able to store their virtual currencies using the new Yoroi ADA wallet. The Yoroi app is a one-click install super light wallet that allows users to start sending and receiving ADA tokens in just a few minutes. Furthermore, users will keep total control of their funds without having to download the full blockchain or storing ADA on exchanges.

Users can now download the new ADA wallet from the Google Play Store and also install a Google Chrome extension. Yoroi is also available for Android and iOS devices.

The description of the wallet reads as follows:

“The Yoroi Android App is small and can be downloaded without using much bandwidth. Additionally, Yoroi is a light wallet, which means it does not require a full copy of the blockchain to be stored on the user’s device. This means the bandwidth requirements for using the wallet are also low.”

The private key that users have are stored locally on the user’s device. Moreover, data is encrypted with a wallet password. The company explains that private keys are never stored on any centrally-hosed server. The wallet offers support in four languages, making it easier for individuals from different countries to use this ADA wallet, which was developed by Emurgo.

Emurgo is a company founded in 2017 and located in Japan that develops, supports and incubates commercial ventures. At the same time, the firm integrates these businesses into the Cardano decentralized blockchain ecosystem.

During the first half of 2019, the company aims at implementing stake pools. Other developments related to the Yoroi wallet will be announced by the company throughout the year.

Cardano is one of the largest digital currencies in the market. At the time of writing this article, ADA is the 11th largest digital currency with a market capitalization of $1.01 billion. Each ADA coin can be purchased for $0.0387, according to CoinMarketCap.
