All code examples will be presented in a guided format and the session is suitable for both business and technical roles. Background: The special pre-event enterprise blockchain workshop will be taught by trainers from IBM and we will get you up and running with an end to end blockchain solution by the end of the session! Smart contract code will be written in the Linux Foundation's open source Hyperledger Composer and Hyperledger Fabric. Your app will run on a free IBM Cloud account and can also be hosted elsewhere. Pre-Event Workshop Information: Imagine you've just ordered a new custom car! In this workshop, you'll create the blockchain network integrated with IoT data where you can track it from the assembly plant all the way to a safe delivery at the dealership where you can pick it up. You'll create smart contracts that record the GPS location of the vehicle in transit, any inclement weather forecasted events impacting transit and any excessive accelerometer events indicating potential damage. This collected data insures safe delivery to the dealership for you to take possession of your new car. This pre-event has limited seating and includes a nominal additional fee to ensure those most interested can attend. The workshop starts at 4:00pm. Mac, Windows, or Linux all fine. Additional pre-event information will be sent to all registered attendees.

"And so, brothers and sisters, I could not speak to you as spiritual people, but rather as people of the flesh, as infants in Christ. I fed you with milk, not solid food, for you were not ready for solid food."
– Paul of Tarsus, 1 Corinthians 3:1-2
"Unity in diversity is the highest possible attainment of a civilization, a testimony to the most noble possibilities of the human race. This attainment is made possible through passionate concern for choice, in an atmosphere of social trust."
– Michael Novak, ‘Unity in Diversity : An Index to the Publications of Conservative and Libertarian Institutions’ (1983).
"Men talk of the extravagances and frenzies that have been produced by mysticism; they are a mere drop in the bucket. In the main, and from the beginning of time, mysticism has kept men sane. The thing that has driven them mad was logic. …The only thing that has kept the race of men from the mad extremes of the convent and the pirate-galley, the night-club and the lethal chamber, has been mysticism — the belief that logic is misleading, and that things are not what they seem."
– G. K. Chesterton, in Tolstoy (1903)
