WHAT IS BITCORE (BTX)?
Bitcore is among the three hard forks that were developed in 2017 and it takes some of the tech from bitcoin. The major difference from bitcoin is the drastically reduced ledger or blockchain size. The average bitcoin blockchain is over 12GB in size while Bitcore has managed to reduce it down to around 500MB. It also uses its own encryption algorithm and has a significantly reduced block time of 2.5 seconds.
