Bitcoin [btc]: bitpay-refundo partnership will enable tax returns in bitcoin

BitPay, the Atlanta-based payment service provider, created a buzz in the crypto-community after publicly announcing a partnership with Refundo, a financial services firm. The main objective of this collaboration is to enable U.S. taxpayers to receive federal or state tax refunds in bitcoin [BTC], while ensuring low transaction fees and faster transaction speed.

The BitPay-Refundo partnership was announced by BitPay through a tweet from its official Twitter account,

“You can get your federal and state #TaxRefunds in #bitcoin through our partnership with @refund. Check it out!”

Refundo’s CEO, Roger Chinchilla, termed the addition of bitcoin on their CoinRT platform a “natural fit” and emphasized on creating a comfortable experience for “under-banked customers.” As of now, CoinRT platform enables bitcoin payouts for a “flat” 1% fee.

Further, BitPay also recently partnered with Corporate Traveller, a UK-based business travel management company, to accept payments in bitcoin and bitcoin Cash [BCH].
