Basics of Building a Trading Bot on Cryzen

Basics of Building a Trading Bot on Cryzen

For many years creating an algorithm or “bot” was an extremely difficult process that required programming capabilities along with quantitative trading knowledge. While we promote learning both of these topics, we don’t believe that they should be the barrier to entry for algorithmic trading.

Focusing on robustness, simplicity, and ease of use has enabled us to create a truly flexible system that allows users to create algorithms that are just not possible elsewhere (for example, machine learning based trading bots, to be released on the platform in March).

To properly convey the potential of the Cryzen platform, Shuvro creates a basic algo that trades based on the net price change of ETH_USDT in a given week (buy when the weekly price change is positive, and sell when it is negative). The kicker: this was the first time he attempted this specific strategy, hence his natural reaction of surprise when he saw the results.

The strategy buys and sells an ETH_USDT pair over a year of data (01–01–2018 to 12–31–2018) and almost doubles the allocated amount through the bear market that was 2018. Watch the video to learn how to implement this strategy, and continue to build off of it. Note: this is not financial advice, just a clever depiction of the strategies you can create on Cryzen.
