
April — RCN V2 Basalt
The RCN v2 Engine -codename “Basalt”– became the new core of the RCN Protocol, handling loan transactions and the logic behind them. In addition, Basalt’s release included the creation of an Oracle to make the lending process more efficient.
Ripio successfully integrated its credit service to our mainnet to enable its 250,000 user-base to request loans using the Engine, becoming the Protocol’s first Latin American cosigner.
July — RCN dApp
BUIDL!
RCN has now a fully-fledged dApp to interact with the Engine. Our goal is to give the whole RCN community full access to it to operate as lenders and be able to explore the network’s activity.
On top of that, we added a new feature that allows users to through on-chain decentralized exchanges.
August — RCN Node Beta
The new RCN Node provides a simple API to verify the state and history of any loan on the network. This first version of the Node serves all available information on the Basalt engine’s loans.
November — Decentraland virtual mortgages
has joined the RCN Protocol, allowing its users to request to purchase any LAND parcel posted for . This integration represents one of the first success cases among the numerous implementations of ERC721 we envision for the Protocol’s future. We’re extremely happy to have Decentraland’s team working alongside with us on this!
